Right from the get-go, being the oldest of the seven children that would inhabit the family in the years to come, Mi Sun was destined to inherit some of that power from her parents before her. Despite their humble home on the Islands, her father was a very important figure in the government – only a promotion away from being in charge of a province as a whole – and wanted his children to carry on his legacy as he did for his father before him and so on so forth. No time or expense was wasted in her early years preparing her from the road ahead through incredible tutors from the Citadel and rigorous learning programs she was put through, but time would prove it all to be worthwhile in the end. ★ After her two younger brothers were born and she hit the age of seven, the grand promotion the entire family had been waiting for hit. However, it wasn't exactly what they had been hoping for. During a riot, the government official put in charge of the Akiro province had been murdered and, as such, they needed someone to take their place. The job was dangerous; it was higher paying than the head of Nevita or Illyis because of what was at stake, but many people who were offered the job turned it down out of fear and waited until the spot for the other two mainland provinces opened up. However, the man never turned down a challenge and accepted with little to no thought. The family crossed the border and moved to Agate Village – the only relatively safe place in the province – and prepared themselves for what they could assume was the worst. ★ Riots didn't come as swiftly as they'd feared, however. Didn't really come at all, in fact. Two out of four sisters were welcomed into the family and, if anything, he father was well respected in the province in nomads. Rather than trying to beat down their rebelliousness or preach about the wonders of Illyis and the Citadel, her father's methods of teaching involved tolerance rather than violence. He tried to understand why the Akirans did the things they did and felt the way they felt and, in some ways, actually agreed with them and made reforms that bettered the quality of living in the Orre Territories and even places in the newly acquired Hoenn lands. Many young men requiring a wife as of tradition attempted for Mi Sun's hand in marriage, as well as many of the opposite gender running after the older of the two brothers who was of age, but laws prohibiting inter-provincial marriages made that impossible. Regardless, their time in Agate was not so terrible; the quality of living was not as good as it had been on their home on One Island, but they certainly had the largest home as far as the eye could see. ★ You can be the sweetest peach in the world, though, and someone's not going to like peaches. This included her father. While years passed them by and her final two siblings came into their family, the minority who detested her old man became scarily apparent. Assassination attempts, while far and few with none ever being remotely successful shook the family and kept them in that state of fear they'd first been in when moving to the province. However, during an important speech in Pyrite Town, things took a turn for the worst. A single bullet from the crowd was enough to have the man slumping over his podium and the crowd being thrown into pandemonium. He was dead before they even managed to get him into the hospital to try and save him. ★ Mi Sun had been walking in her father's footsteps, as the older of her two brothers had as well, and though young, was showing signs of being a great leader like the man before her. However, the accident shook the very foundation on which she walked and her talents seemed to falter. The Citadel offered her the position of the head of Akiro, but not only was she too terrified to accept, but a growing hatred for the Akirans who had not only killed him but many of the leaders before him would have likely made that impossible. Her brother was too young and her mother was educated in a completely different field entirely, so the job instead went to the first person brave enough to take it. ★ Years passed the family by after they moved back to the Sevii Islands, the pinkette keeping up her studies and landing a job in the Citadel. More years passed when the old Illyis Head died of a sudden heart attack and, looking at her predecessor and her own achievements, they decided to offer her the job as leader of the Illyis province. Wanting nothing more than to make her father proud beyond the grave, she accepted. For the passed two years, now, she has been in an elite position and is the most powerful person living within Illyis boundries. |
EXTRAS
★ Mi Sun prefers to be called Mimi by those close to her rather than her actual name, seeing as it's rather exotic, even in comparison to some of the other names in her province. Anyone else is to call her Ms. Cheon.
★ As Illyis Head, Mi Sun is basically the single ruler of Illyis. Whatever she says goes, no if, ands, or buts about it. However, she is not the highest ranking government official; she still takes orders from a variety of people living in the Citadel and is essentially nothing more than a figure head to pass on messages between the government and their favored province. However, she likes to tell herself its worth it due to the small amount of freedom she has in saying what goes and what doesn't.
★ While she would follow her father's ideals of tolerance between all provinces to the death, her extreme hatred of anyone living in the Akiran province makes that a little more difficult. While she preaches ideas about it like her old man, any Akiran talking to her on an individual bases is susceptible to her verbal poison and remarks so mean the burn ward'll have a difficult patient on their hands.
★ While it is an unpopular belief these days, Mi Sun believes that there is a chance that Fripperi is still out there. Of course, with no proof, this is widely unaccepted and to believe its still out there is treated like believing that Bigfoot exists.
