PERSONALITY it's been years since red traveled the region. years and years of training have probably brought him some wisdom. or you'd at least think that he's grown up a bit, become a bit more mature. i'm sorry, that's not the case. he's still the energetic child he was years ago. and these days, he's as cocky as ever. some might say that this self confidence can be slightly obnoxious, but it's really derived from the burning ambitious attitude inside of him. red's always striving to be the hero, to the be the strongest trainer there is. he wants to be the very best. although being confident and ambitious is good in the current state of the world, red can be quite rash at times. he's not a very patient person in general, and rushing through things when he's excited can cause him to be quite gullible. and it doesn't help that he always has a target on his back. but it's okay. red's famous for his incredible fortune- he's quite the lucky person. perhaps it's because he's an incredible optimist, or because of his great imaginative mind. there's always someone on his side to help- his friendly way of life makes him a wonderful leader. still, his youthful mind doesn't exactly understand that there are still awful people in this world. it poses quite the problem for red- there are some dark things out there. | [DIS]LIKES ++pokemon ++traveling ++sour candy ++pasta ++pretty much food in general ++winning ++the cold weather ++board games, but when he plays them they always end up in huge arguments ++nature ++talking --settling for less than perfect --carbonated drinks --anything sugar-free --being told what to do --slow music --slow anything --his father --babies and their crying --going to the dentist or the doctors...he's had some "traumatizing" experiences there, as he likes to say. (if getting your cavities filled is traumatizing, i haven't the slightest idea how red would react to getting a tooth pulled.) |
POKEMON  pikachu, static, male thunderbolt ● double team agility ● slam  gemma, overgrow, female sleep powder ● razor leaf synthesis ● take down | HISTORY ⌚ born in a town known as pallet years ago. his father apparently left to become a pokemon trainer only 2 months after his birth. he doesn't remember anything about his father. his mother loved him, but apparently their relationship wasn't anything too special. ⌚ an old friend of red's father had a young son as well, but eventually the boy, green was given to his grandfather. red never met green's father either. (although red knew of green and his family, the two boys had never met.) ⌚ childhood life was quite normal. he was exposed to pokemon at a very young age and was very popular at school because of it. as he grew older he learned very little about the provinces. in fact, his mother basically shut such stories out of the household completely. ⌚ it was only years later that he ventured into the forest and met green oak. they immediately became rivals. ⌚ he slowly began to edge further away from home. somehow he ended up staring wide eyed at an extensive mountain known for it's famous meteor shower annually. such a mountain looked promising. so naturally, he explored it. ⌚ red was away from home for 3 weeks, partly because he exited mt. moon on the opposite side after exploring. he only made it home after someone told him about a tunnel that was carved by underground pokemon. it led him back to the forest. ⌚ turns out that everyone in pallet thought he had been kidnapped or murdered. he gave his poor mother quite the scare. ⌚ that was the end of his adventuring for years. he was cooped up in his hometown until he was eighteen. life crawled on by. ⌚ at age eighteen he said goodbye to his mother and set out again, returning home anywhere in between every week to every few months. he's been doing that for years now. |
