Marco Laguardia; teenage social activist turned revolutionary turned odd job man turned author. Marco always wanted to be a hero, to do the right thing to protect the innocent and give voice to the voiceless; you know the usual dribble. On that path he left home when his father disagreed with his choices, only to find out that being a hero, being a 'good guy' was a role for suckers. And that's how he left that life, eventually ending up as a moderately popular writer drifting around the world for inspiration for his latest works. He's quiet, reserved, unsocial to one extent. Get to know him and you'll find out that he's lazy, damn near apathetic sometimes and has a wicked sense of humor- that he can use as a weapon more often than not. | Marco lives a solitary life and prefers silence over conversation; not very conductive for friendships. In fact, the only friend he does have is currently his Ninetales. You want to make friends with him? Good luck, he's sort of quiet and it's hard to make him want to do anything that he doesn't want to on top of that. The surest way to get across to him is through his Poke'mon- as mentioned before he cares greatly for his Ninetales. Another good way to get to him is via his work. While he's lazy about it, Marco's grown to love his work and successfully engaging him on the topic is a good way to break the ice. Once befriended Marco is pretty steadfast and loyal- you can count on him in a rough spot. If you don't mind the constant sarcasm, that is. | In his early days as a bringer of good and justice Marco managed to piss off a fair amount of people, especially from Akiro and from Illyis too. While it's been a while since he's actively participated in that role people can hold a grudge and if an enemy comes across him a fight can easily break out. Yeah, Marco's got a few skeletons in his closet and he's killed a few people over the years But, seriously? Don't make an enemy out of this writer. It's hard to do so anyway, due to his laid back and apathetic nature, but once he gets going after you he does so relentlessly and with a fair bit of ruthlessness. Moreover his redressing of balances is a pretty permanent deal. One of the surest way to make him go after you is to hurt his Ninetales, or pester him about his past and family. The latter he can even forgive. The former he won't. | Marco's heterosexual and still enough of a romantic for him to shun the idea of one-night stands and quick on and off relationships just for the sake of it. If he wants to be in a relationship you can be sure that he's committed to it and ready to see it through all the way. He's had a few relationships of that sort before, but his tendency to remain in silence and his sometimes apathetic nature has led to all of them falling apart. Maybe one day he'll find somebody who likes relaxing quietly just as he does, but until then he's content living as he is. Sometimes he feels lonely, but those periods pass soon enough. Open to shipping, preferably with somebody loud and brash to push Marco out of his comfort zone xD |
