POKEMON  jude, rough skin, male dragon claw ● sludge bomb chip away ● night slash  kai, sniper, male toxic ● poison jab fell stinger ● spider web | HISTORY - The Wilson family made a decent living for many generations, despite the hardships, by running a successful lumber mill and plantation. - When Dakota's father was a young boy, a scandal erupted, claiming that they were counterfeiting money. - Without much interrogation, Dakota's grandfather was executed and the lumber mill was destroyed, leaving the family with nothing. - For years, Dakota's grandmother and father lived an impoverished life, struggling to survive. - They managed by working in a competing mill until Dakota's father was twenty. - He then married Dakota's mother and Dakota came into the picture. - When Dakota was ten, the mill his family worked at closed, leaving them with nothing once again. - Dakota's mother forced his father into selling Dakota into slavery when he was just eleven. - The man who bought him, Barrett Carmichael, was a wealthy socialite from Illyis, his family known for their shipping company but not much else. Dakota was forced to serve as Barrett's butler, doing him favors and chores on his grand estate just outside Olivine City. Nevertheless, Barrett treated him reasonably, allowing him to be educated so that he could partake in conversations with the lonely millionaire. - Dakota was actually intellectually superior to the dimwitted Barrett. Once realizing this, he began plotting his own escape. - Barrett was even so stupid as to give Dakota a Pokemon so that they could battle. - Through the years, Dakota trained his Druddigon until it was far supreme to Barrett's Pokemon. - When his planning came to a conclusion when he was twenty, Dakota had his future sorted out -- he would steal Barrett's identity and use it to survive in Illyis until he could figure out how to get back into Nevita. - On a Thursday, Dakota killed Barrett with a samurai sword that the moron kept on display. - With that, he began traveling Illyis in search of Pokemon using Barrett's name since he was fairly unknown amongst the general population. - During that time, Dakota caught a Spinarak and evolved it into an Ariados. - At that point, he decided that he would help his family by attempting to avenge his grandfather's death. - As of now, he is undercover as a socialite who has too much money until he can travel back across the border to Nevita. |

- after spending so much time "under cover," dakota is finding it hard to differentiate between himself and his "barrett persona."
- he has begun to appreciate his life of lux, despite his initial hatred of his owner's living arrangements. as a result, his plans to return to nevita full time have been delayed by his love for the good life.
- when he was younger, dakota noticed that he bore a resemblance to barrett. had he been forced to reunite with the carmichael family, he could probably pass as barrett, considering how dakota never-not-once saw barrett's family.
