just a born sinner the opposite of a winner the cold summer i predict another winter
Time never seemed like it would just take a moment to stop, to halt everything that has happened and cease fire. Every second that passes allows for yet another body to hit the floor. What kind of world do we live in where all the madness and insanity would just stop and let peace have a turn, if only for a minute. The air was thick and dense almost like a fog that covers the entire city, or at least what it used to be before things took a change for the worst. Now all that lay before him were ruins of debris and thick smog that was barely breathable. Thankfully living in the region of Nevita, Cole has somewhat adapted to the pollution allowing him to survive better than any tourist.
“Fuck, this smoke is so thick. Can barely see a damn thing.”
Standing strong above a collapsed building, the hunter tried to get a better view of his surrounding by elevating himself. But with everything destroyed and broken, it was hard for him to get a good view of anything. There must have been a good reason the man would come to such a place, one that hasn’t seen the likes of people in months. Usually his jobs involved hunting down living people and thus killing them, but never has he had to track down someone who’d been claimed dead already. Yet here he was in Sunyshore City, trying to find his apparent target. If it wasn’t for his love for money then he’d never have taken the mission in the first place.
“Might need to expand my range a bit, to make things easier.”
Cole exclaimed to himself but then sensed a dark presence lurking nearby, one that was deadly and all too familiar to him.
“Sin! I need you to stop joking around and go ahead and search the area.” He roared to his partner who, like always, was hiding about and in no time flat the ghostly figure revealed himself with a slight smile on the devilish zipper of his. “The faster we get this done, the faster we can get out of this city.”
The dark pokemon nodded and without a second to spare he disappeared yet again, leaving Cole to himself. Glancing about his whereabouts, he remembered what the letter had read, stating that the client believed his killer didn’t die when his home had collapsed but was still lurking about the city waiting for his next target to appear. Groaning loudly, Cole gave the thought nothing but a slight dose of paranoia. But at least he’d be able to get paid in full whether he brings the body back or not. Then a sharp growl pierced the thick smog and the hunter knew that his partner must have found something, or someone.
