PERSONALITY + friendly generally so. yellow likes making new friends wherever she goes, and dislikes conflict with a passion. when any of her friends or, even strangers, are fighting, yellow goes out of her way to try and help them. most of the time, she's cheerful and almost happy-go-lucky, but not overly bubbly and talkative, generally preferring to be left to her own thoughts. she really hates the conflict between the different provinces.+ optimistic some find it strange, but yellow's always got a smile on her face, even in the worst of situations. her policy on the matter is that there has to be someone to bring the others up to good spirits, or they'll all just 'mope around and be miserable; forever. seeing other people unhappy or conflicting makes yellow uncomfortable, so she does her best to see the bright side of things, even when there seems to be none.+ supportive she's the best friend that cheers when the game is clearly in the other side's favor. yellow likes to see people succeed, and generally likes it when other people help them along the way (that's how new friends are made!, or so she claims). when the odds are against someone, yellow doesn't give up - she only cheers harder.+ loyal not the puppy-dog kind of loyal, but teetering on the brink. when yellow believes in, or makes friends with somebody, she's friends with them until the end. she'll stick through the thick and thin and pull someone up when they're down, refusing to give up until the truth comes and hits her on the head. yellow doesn't believe in second chances, if only because of the fact that she'd like everybody to have an infinite amount, if possible.- naive for a girl of her age, yellow is incredibly naive - she bears the intelligence of a teenager, in the mindset of a child. despite the obvious conflict that's going on in the world, yellow still believes that every single person is good at heart, and deserve chances to prove such, even at the risk of others getting hurt. her belief in others can be supporting and uplifting at times, but fatal at others - the only time that she's ever frowned or felt genuinely hurt is in the face of blatant rejection. jaded, yellow battles in a way that prevents not only her own pokemon from getting hurt, but also the opposing side's, refusing to believe that it's sometimes impossible.- gullible yellow doesn't 'do' deception - she thinks it's unnecessary hurt in a world that's already full of pain and fear. similarly, the face of deception is where her naivety really shines through. yellow trusts anybody and everybody, which is a largely exploitable weakness if somebody knows about it. the only reason she continues to trust so openly and blindly put her faith into even strangers may only be because not enough have gone and betrayed her (which isn't to say that none have).- dreamy though she may be friendly, yellow's not terribly talkative, and the reason that she became a photographer in the first place is because she tends to daydream a lot, making it hard to focus on a single task at hand. yellow's naivety largely stems from her dreamy nature, and visa versa - her 'perfect world' exists in her head, and she sees reality through the same lens. many times, she's unaware that the people in reality don't follow the same rules that she sets in her own world, either, and it comes to haunt her in the long run, but often not enough for her to change.- insecure yellow sees herself as a support for other people to lean on or grasp onto, but truth be told, she secretly longs for one of her own. her main insecurities are not being able to protect those she cares about - her pokemon, her family - from what's 'out there', outside of illyis, and it tears her apart from the inside, sometimes. it's also the reason why she feels absolutely crushed after rejection, because to yellow, it's like her worst nightmares being confirmed right in front of her eyes. | [DIS]LIKES + harmony a broad scope, but falling into this category are friends, and people in general getting along with each other. yellow likes it when everything is smooth and well and normal, but if they're not, she tries her best to remedy that.+ freedom freedom to do anything, really. being allowed to pursue her own career interest is something that yellow really enjoys, and she hopes other people have the luxury of enjoying as well. you shape your own person, not society. she hates those that try to assert control over others.+ nature true to her calling as a photographer, yellow loves nature. in particular, she likes to look at the tree leaves change color from one season to the next. it doesn't matter whether they're warm colors, green or dead from the chill of winter - she really adores natural wonders as opposed to any man-made spectacle.+ racing a not-so-secretive hobby of hers. whether it's running with her pokemon or on top of her pokemon, yellow loves racing - she likes the competition, the wind whipping past her hair, the adrenaline spike - everything. even if she doesn't win - and she doesn't, not often - the experience is something that yellow wants to experience over and over again.- rejection the very root of all her insecurities, yellow is absolutely terrified of rejection. rejection of any kind, whether it be declining her offers to help or losing a friend, confirms yellow's fears that she's just not good enough. she hates that feeling.- reality as jaded as it sounds, yellow doesn't really like coming back down to earth from her daydreams. there's nothing in reality that entices her, and until the day comes when she's strong enough to protect not even her family, but just herself, she's content to keep denying what's plainly around her and keep living in a fantasy, perfect shell of a world.- conflict yellow hates conflict because it hurts those that she cares about - her pokemon, her family and her friends. the more conflict there is, the more uncomfortable yellow gets.- betrayal or any form of backstabbing. yellow blindly puts all of her trust into people she meets, so when it's broken, the backlash really hits her hard. she hasn't been hurt enough to stop her blind faith in others, but it takes her awhile to recover from any sort of betrayal whatsoever. |
POKEMON  chuchu, static, female electro ball ● quick attack light screen ● double team  ratty, run away, male tail whip ● quick attack bite ● pursuit  dody, run away, male acupressure ● endeavor agility ● pluck | HISTORY → yellow was born on a farm in the middle of virdian forest. she grew up with her parents telling her that it was because they were sick and tired of the 'city life', and wanted to move someplace where there was always peace and quiet. she grew up relatively secluded from the world, never having gone to school.→ she left home relatively early, around age sixteen or so, because she found herself becoming more and more uncomfortable with the bugs that seemed to populate every inch of virdian forest. her parents weren't very wealthy, so they sent her off with the offer of always having a home to return to. curious, yellow began to travel with the two pokemon she'd been friends with since she was young, ones her parents let her bring along.→ she tried to get jobs after a nice man told her about her options to earn money, but could never stick one. it was either because of her lack of previous education/work experience or her tendency to start daydreaming whenever she did manage to get a job. eventually, yellow landed in the pokemon racing business, and got caught up in betting and gambling for awhile.→ age eighteen, yellow went home for the first time, mostly because she was out of money (since she really wasn't very good at the whole 'betting' thing, even though dody won quite a bit). her father used to be a professional photographer before he retired, so he lent her his own camera, in hopes that she could make do with it. insistent on continuing her travels, yellow left again. she hasn't gone back since. |

chuchu is actually a new addition to the team. yellow got her when trying out how to catch a pokemon. only ratty and dody have been with her since she was young, and she's, honestly, more attached to them than she is chuchu.→
yellow is not rich. she's actually barely scraping by with the amount she needs to survive. most of the time, she fails to notice because she daydreams a lot, but yellow sometimes goes hungry if her photos don't sell well.→
the straw hat comes from her family, as do the clothes. because the hat covers most of her hair, yellow often gets mistaken for a boy. she doesn't really get what the big deal is, so she doesn't bother to correct anybody that assumes such.→
she really doesn't like her surname. yellow refers to herself as yellow most of the time, but may also refer to herself as 'yellow of virdian forest' or 'yellow of illyis'.→
she's very ignorant of what goes on outside of illyis. yellow's concerns with conflict and strife are currently only limited to her own region/province alone.Made by Fahrenheit for TSR only
