POKEMON  benji, run away, male swift ● baby doll eyes wish ● sand-attack | HISTORY ▫ he grew up in what was once goldenrod city - big city, big dreams. little teddy was bright and a more joyful child than he is today. he grew up with no shortage of luxuries and was well fed, even if he looks starved half the time. ▫ family outings were common, but the dixons were not expecting their son to be abducted one fine excursion to the historical sites. police were informed and he was tracked down. no irreparable physical harm was done to him, but the boy, at eight, became fearful and extremely paranoid of anything that would stir the trauma - including dark and cramped spaces and human contact in general. ▫ traumatised as he was, teddy also had to deal with the onslaught of reporters that loitered at the gates of their house. camera flashes only made him see stars, and the hoards of humans pestering him only served to trigger that trauma. every year since the incident, a lone reporter appeared and tried to get a scoop of his life beyond the incident. what went from abject fear developed to gross loathing for such people. ▫ teddy holed himself up at home and found solace in electronics. he taught himself the rudimentary basics and progressed on from there until he was discovering the lucrative business of hacking. he can't deny its appeal, and his business is quite sought after. all dealings he does strictly by mail. his business rarely requires him to leave the house, but in the event that is necessary, leaves escorted by his adopted pet. |
EXTRAS
▫ teddy suffers from partial albinism and hardly is seen without a long sleeved shirt. sunscreen is a necessity if he does so much as step out of the house. his hair is more coloured than most, but his eyes are incredibly sensitive to light - hence the sunglasses - and he'd rather not be seen out of the house by dark. his condition looks severe if only because he rarely sees the sun and doesn't eat regularly when he's on the job.
▫ benji is loyal to the bone, but only because the young creature grew up with the belief that teddy has saved him from cruelty. he laps up every word that teddy says and is a dog to him, obeying his every wish. his affection is not reciprocated most of the time, but that won't stop him! teddy will take care of him, teddy will keep him safe, as long as he protects teddy. then everything is okay. what benji doesn't know is how he was a failure of a breeder's project to find a female eevee, and how teddy scooped him up from the pc network during his hacking heists.
