"was it worth the ones we loved" and had to leave behind "so many years have passed" who are the noble and the wise?
He sat quietly in the back of the diner his eyes closed and his body relaxed as he took a deep breath and waited for the food he had ordered to arrive. It wasn't often that he made stops at places like this, they tended to be filled with people and he hated being around large crowds. It was late however and that meant very little people would be around and even if there had been his hunger greatly outweighed his dislike at the moment.
Still I wish I hadn't run out of food so quickly
He readjusted himself in his seat as the waiter brought of a plate with a hamburger on it, and after setting it down she walked off. The young ronin leaned himself forward and listened as his stomach let out low growl before he began to dig into the burger. It didn't take long for him to finish his food and after doing so he reached into his pocket and placed the money required to pay on the table. It was a good thing he did a few odd jobs while traveling around otherwise he probably would have starved to death already.
Michael stood up and grabbed his sword that was located next to him in his seat quickly strapping it back onto his side before heading towards the exit. He wasn't one to stick around in areas for very long; his master had always instructed him to keep moving such was the way of the ronin. As he left the desert wind hit his face sending his long purple hair flying about in the wind. A frown soon formed on his face he had forgotten all about the storm that had started to grow, it was going to be a rough journey to Agate Village. He advanced his way off the ramp and quickly grabbed hold of the Poke ball on his side, tossing it into the air and letting out the Absol inside.
The white furred Pokemon eyes its master carefully as Michael motioned for him to follow and began to walk, having company like Absol would make the trip easier. Though as the duo walked further away from the Outskirt Stand Michael felt his shoulder bump into someone and he paused, his attention now drawn towards whoever he had bumped into on this sandstormy night, "Hmm?" |

[attr="class","ipoodle"]Sand bit at the little skin that was exposed to the elements. "Might as well cover my eyes, too," he remarked bitterly to his companion. Thane had insisted on seeing Argent through the storm. "Can't see a damn thing, anyway-- Sol's lucky," Argent gave a furtive glance backward at the pack he bore on his back.
Thane glanced over at him, blue eyes intelligent even under the imposed silence that allowed him to cast a human disguise over his own form. He made a move to walk in front of Argent, but he stopped him, fingers confidently closing down around the thinner limb cloaked underneath the illusion. "It's quite alright, Thane. I would much rather you return to your pokeball. I see no reason why both of us should suffer through this."
The human-shaped zoroark shook his head, his gaze defiant. Sighing, Argent dropped his hand. There was no use in arguing with his pokemon. At least Sol had the good sense to return to her pokeball. "This round is yours," he laughed, his voice rising over the screeching wind, "I've not the strength to ar-"
He saw it before the zoroark sensed it. A human shape, passing in the other direction. Furrowing his brow, he opened his mouth to call out, but it was too late. Thane, taken by surprise at the unexpected contact, briefly faltered to his true form-- but faster than Argent could blink, he had reformed the illusion.
Hmm?"
"My sincerest apologies...sir," he called hesitantly, squinting to ascertain the stranger's features in the blinding sand. "My-- my brother did not see you. You must excuse him; he's rather skittish, and a mute at that," Thane moved, peering over Argent's shoulder as the man smiled his politician's smile.
